What will you do?  As an **Data** **Operations** **Engineer** you will perform implementation, regular problem solving, maintenance and support for a agile software development and you will also be: + Collaboration with an international team and implementation of joint solutions for monitoring and observability. + Design of monitoring solutions for optimal observation of specific components on the vendor side. + Implementation of proposed solutions for application monitoring using cloudcomputing tools and services. + Integration of ML approaches for anomaly identification on historical/real time data. + Maintance and deployment of existing solutions such as alarms and anomaly detection on various cloud platforms. + Preparation of documentations, tests and runbooks for processes and individual components. + Ownership for a specific monitoring solution. This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US. What you have: + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. + **Software Development Life Cycle:** Knowledge of software development life cycle; ability to use a structured methodology for delivering and managing new or enhanced software products to the marketplace. + **Software Product Design/Architecture:** Knowledge of software product design; ability to convert market requirements into the software product design. + **Analytical thinking** : Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment. Basic qualifications:   + Education in Computer Science or similar field or relevant experience in software engineering, with a focus on AWS cloud development and it’s infrastructure (Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, Step Functions , Cloud Formation, Infrastructure)  + Demonstratable proficiency programming in Python, SQL, integration testing   + Experience with least-privilege IAM security implementation.
