Data Management Manager

The hiring range for this opportunity is $130,000 to $170,000 annually along with incentive opportunities, creating a competitive total compensation package based on our pay scale, and may be modified by location and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

We are open to this position being in office, hybrid, or possibly being a remote role.

Responsible for implementation and oversight of the Bank’s Data Management Program.  Defines, manages, and supports consistent execution of the Bank’s data strategy across the enterprise, focusing on sustainable management of data risk. Works closely with Senior Leaders and Executives, including Risk, Compliance, Finance, Operations, Product, and Information Security / Technology, to communicate and deliver consistent principles and strategies to minimize risk to Bank data.   Leads and directs all aspects of the Data Management Program, including communication plans, coordinating, and reporting on Data Strategy, Management, and Security adoption throughout the Bank, and administering the budget, planning, and facilitating of the Data Management reporting at committee meetings.

Essential Duties: 

Develops and defines vision, strategy, and principles for data management in collaboration with senior executives to support the Bank's strategies and priorities. Drive the development and adoption of an Enterprise Data Management/Security Strategy. Responsible for establishing and running Data Management/Security, as part of an overall technology, governance, and control framework. Develops and reports key performance/risk indicators (KPI/KRI) and metrics to Management, Senior Leadership, and the Board Technology/Cybersecurity Committee. Coordinates with Internal Audit and  regulators on Data Management topics as appropriate. Assist with the recommendation and prioritization of technology solutions aligning to priorities of the Bank’s Data Management Strategy in partnership with IT and InfoSec Leadership. Develops and maintains an unstructured data management strategy that supports business needs and regulatory requirements. Implements and maintains a data retention strategy that supports the bank’s business needs and regulatory requirements.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Information Security, or related field required, Bachelor's degree in Information Security preferred. CISSP, CDPSE, CDP preferred Microsoft Purview, DLP, Defender Training preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

8 years of cross-discipline experience in Information Security and Information Technology. 3 years of experience leading a program or function in Information Security, Data Management/Security, or Information Technology. Experience leading the development and adoption of a Data Management Strategy for defining standards for naming, describing, governing, managing, protecting, modeling, cleansing, enriching, transforming, moving, storing, searching, and delivering data within the enterprise. Experience working in a large organization that employs a wide range of security management tools such as Identity and Access Management, DLP, encryption, anti-virus, etc. Experience using risk based security frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS, CRI, etc. Ability to provide guidance, coaching and training to technology/security staff and Bank employees. Knowledge of laws and regulations impacting data protection and confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data in the financial industry such as Sarbanes-Oxley, and state regulations.  Experience in leading complex regulatory projects across multiple departments.
