Data Management Lead, SME. This position is in support of the EMITS 2 Task Order Mission Partner PP&P, located in Wiesbaden, Germany. This position is located OCONUS.
Responsibilities:
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of data pipelines, storage, infrastructure, and data flow, transformation, and scalability
Supports development and maintenance of data pipelines, data storage, and other infrastructure required for safe storage and transport of data
Optimizes performance and scalability of big data (structured and unstructured) and real-time data infrastructure
Supports data solutions using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, and SQL
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge regarding data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Databricks) and DevSecOps for data, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Coordinates with C2 system administrators to configure and troubleshoot COP and CIP data feeds
Monitors and maintains COP Synch Tool (CST) and other data feed connections with CCMDs, Component Commands, and outside agencies
Assesses emerging policies, technology, and best practices for applicability to data management and generation of COPs/CIPs
May attend and participate in meetings to discuss new technologies, technology insertion projects, and modernization roadmaps
Mentors other data engineers
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high-impact assignments
Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
Mentors other data engineers
May supervise others
Qualifications:
Required:
Currently hold an adjudicated Secret Clearance with the ability maintain
BA/BS +13 year’s experience
Certification CASP+ or CCNP Security or CISA or CISSP or CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of data engineering principles, with emphasis on big data pipelines, storage infrastructure, and real-time data processing in military or Government environments.
Possesses proficiency in cloud platforms, programming languages, DevSecOps practices, and containerization tools, ensuring optimal performance and scalability of complex data systems.
Exhibits expertise in implementing and maintaining data solutions using advanced frameworks and orchestration tools, while adhering to security and compliance standards.
Demonstrates skill in configuring and troubleshooting specialized military data systems such as COP and CIP and assessing emerging technologies and participates in modernization roadmap development for potential integration.
Excels at collaborating with various stakeholders while mentoring junior engineers.
Combines technical acumen with leadership skills to drive data solutions, optimize processes, and elevate team capabilities in a high-tempo operational environment.
Displays proficiency in staffing and program compliance processes, with emphasis on government contracting environments.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
