Description of Job
Work Unit
The Data Management Workgroup provides data requirements assessment for the Clean Water Program, stakeholder training for electronic data reporting, internal database training, database reporting and data entry. This workgroup also provides training and assistance to all Clean Water Program personnel for software applications, including but not limited to Xcel, Access, Business Objects, Word, and Google apps. This group is also involved in the CEOS replacement project. (CEOS is the online portal for all Environmental programs.)
Job Duties
This position will work with the supervisor and contractors to translate business procedures and requirements for new electronic data automation tools. Assist in Data Quality Control and Assurance requirements and procedures. Maintain and monitor current data flows and develop new flows. Responsible for developing, monitoring, validating, analyzing and presenting data reports and dashboards based on programmatic needs using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), BOXI (Business Objects XI) or other reporting language (TBD) to be used by management and staff. Primary liaison with staff members to determine reporting requirements. Primary liaison to Program Staff for software assistance and training in Microsoft and Google applications, including writing complex macros in Excel and maintaining Access databases. Secondary liaison (after supervisor) to management for determining reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
(Option 1)
Six (6) years of professional experience in data management or analysis and management of business processes and systems.
(Option 2)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in business, information technology, management, accounting, public administration, or a related field AND
One (1) year of professional experience in data management or analysis and management of business processes and systems.
(Option 3)
A master's degree in business, information technology, management, accounting, public administration or closely related will substitute for the bachelor's degree and one year of experience. This experience must be substantiated within the Work Experience section of your application. "See Resume" will not be accepted. In addition, part-time work will be
prorated.
