About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Management Analyst

In this role, you will:

Participate in less complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gapsAdhere to data governance standards and proceduresIdentify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data qualityDesign and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes, or procedures to ensure data control and remediation for companywide data management functionsSupport communications with basic documentation related to requirements, design decisions, issue closure, or remediation updatesSupport issue remediation by performing medium risk data profiling, data or business analysis, and data mapping as part of root cause or impact analysisProvide support to regulatory analysis and reporting requirementsRecommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sourcesWork with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controlsConsult with clients to assess the current state of data quality within area of assigned responsibility


Required Qualifications:

2+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in BSA-AML regulatory requirements and industry practicesHighly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, data visualization and reportingProficient in data analysis and tools – Tableau and Power BIExperience in Data Quality Assurance and data governance.Technical skills in python, SQL and other data analysis tools will be a plus bit not mandatoryStrong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and program management skills


Job Expectations:

Financial Crimes (BSA-AML, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery/Corruption) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDefect management: Experience in executing data defects co-ordination and monitoring including performing weekly monitoring of open defects, supporting defect intake and submission tollgate activities and identifying off track defects and elevating them to Program oversight managementIssues review and oversight: Performing monthly review of new data-flagged issues to determine whether a defect is warranted and provide recommendation to Program oversight management.Prior experience in working with Alteryx Designer writing data quality rules and data profiling.Experience in documenting key data sources, data elements as well as in identifying data controls for in-scope processes that support broader program elements.Metrics and reporting: Developing metric-based reporting covering all applicable Program areas and publishing monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to managementResponsible for performing data profiling, data analysis, and data mapping to support issue remediation and root cause analysisResponsible for Recommending and implementing initiatives to assess the quality of new data sources Responsible for working with business and technology teams to document and maintain business and technical metadata related to systems, business processes, and data elementsResponsible for consulting with stakeholders to evaluate and note areas of improvement in the current state of data quality in assigned areas.Excellent Verbal and Written communication skillsDesign and monitor data governance, data quality and metadata policies, standards, tools, processes, or procedures to ensure data control and remediation for companywide data management functionsPerform Data Quality Profiling on Critical Data ElementsDesign and recommend data quality rules for Critical Data Elements for Completeness, Validity, Accuracy and Timeliness dimensions.Participate in less complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gapsAdhere to data governance standards and proceduresIdentify data quality metrics and execute data quality audits to benchmark the state of data qualitySupport issue remediation by performing medium risk data profiling, data or business analysis, and data mapping as part of root cause or impact analysisRecommend plans for the development and implementation of initiatives that assess the quality of new data sourcesWork with business and technology partners or subject matter professionals to document or maintain business or technical metadata about systems, business or data elements, or data-related controlsConsult with client's business partners to assess the current state of BSA-AML related data quality within area of assigned responsibility
