Location: Remote EST Hours

Duration: 6+ month contract

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Lead with strong technical expertise to drive the design, implementation, and oversight of enterprise-wide data governance programs. This role will play a key part in ensuring the availability, quality, security, and compliance of data across our organization. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical experience with modern data platforms and governance tools, along with the leadership ability to guide cross-functional data teams.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience leading data governance programs from a technical perspective.

Strong background in designing and managing data lakes (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Expertise with data governance platforms such as Collibra, Alation, Informatica, or Talend.

Deep knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, data quality, and MDM.

Hands-on proficiency with ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, or Spark.

Understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Prior experience in a leadership or technical lead capacity, guiding cross-functional data teams.
