Data Entry Clerk
Description We are looking for a dedicated Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Washington, District of Columbia. Responsibilities: • Conduct thorough audits of employee files to verify the completeness and accuracy of required documents, including I-9 forms, certifications, and compliance paperwork. • Organize and maintain both physical and electronic employee records in alignment with organizational standards and best practices. • Identify missing or outdated documents, coordinate with employees and managers to collect necessary information, and update files promptly. • Update and ensure the accuracy of employee data within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), while maintaining confidentiality. • Provide administrative support to the HR team by performing clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and scheduling. • Assist during internal and external audits by ensuring records are well-prepared and accessible. • Collaborate with the HR team to propose improvements to document management processes and enhance compliance efforts. Requirements • High school diploma required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. • Familiarity with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Dayforce, or similar platforms is highly desirable. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in auditing and recordkeeping tasks. • Knowledge of HR compliance, including I-9 forms and document retention regulations. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with employees, supervisors, and auditors. • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines within a contract-driven timeline.
