If so, lets talk. **Your role and responsibilities** The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex applications using R or Python, with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability. They will work with databases, optimize code, and ensure the efficient deployment of applications. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Strong experience in programming with R or Python * Expertise in debugging and optimizing code for performance and scalability * Familiarity with R/Python libraries commonly used in data science and web application development * Knowledge of best practices for writing maintainable and efficient Python code * Experience with PostgreSQL, including writing and optimizing queries **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Proficiency in R, particularly for Shiny app development * Ability to write and optimize production-ready R code for Shiny applications * Understanding of AWS services relevant to app deployment * Experience improving application performance in production environments * Familiarity with tools and techniques to profile and optimize Shiny app performance IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
