Job Summary:
The Data Engineer II performs moderate research, design, and data engineering assignments within a specific engineering functional area or product line in RX Global.
The successful candidate will create data architectures, such as databases and large-scale processing systems that are used by our business to monitor, understand, and gain data science-led insights into our global events. The Data Engineer II works as part of a highly motivated, collaborative, enthusiastic, distributed, cross-functional team, using a modern tech stack and agile & develops principles to create data architectures that are of high quality and can be deployed to and used in production with confidence - safely and reliably.
Accountabilities:
Design and develop data pipelines and ETL jobs on AWS Cloud platform based on functional/non-functional business requirementsDesign & implement Data Integration/Ingestion/Extraction solutions based on high level architecture designIdentify, design, and implement process improvements & delivery optimizationsDevelop data lake solutions leveraging new or existing technology to advance the company's businessDesign, upgrade and implement new data workflows, automation, tools and API integrationsWrite and maintain technical documentationTranslate business logic into structured, testable, and well-documented datasets used across teams Collaborate with analysts, engineers, product managers, or other business stakeholders to align on requirements, definition of events and ownership. Locate opportunities to improve data and touchpoint analysis by leveraging consistent identifiers. Implement and maintain Mixpanel testing strategies amongst product teams to ensure data accuracy and trust in data. Participate in code reviews and ensure product teams are instrumenting events per best practice. Be part of a governance oversight committee that ensures product teams are feeding into global analytics platform as per analytics team standards. Peer review reports and dashboards created by product teams prior dissemination to the wider business.Job Specifications :
Bachelor’s Degree holder (Engineering/Computer Science preferred but not required)Experience dealing with various stakeholders in a global perspective2-4 years’ experience as a Data Engineer (or related positions) with focus on data processing and/or relational databasesFamiliar with consent management platforms such as OneTrust and Cookiebot and the implications they have on web tracking. Solid understanding of marketing technologies (Meta, Bing, Google Ads etc) and acquisition channels (Paid Search, Paid Social etc.) Deep understanding of digital analytics principles and experience implementing systems such as Mixpanel, Google Analytics and ContentSquare Experience in utilizing analytics tools such as Mixpanel and Google AnalyticsExperienced with relational databases like MS SQL ServerExperienced in the following programming/scripting languages: SQL, Python. Experienced with AWS CloudExperienced with working on Structured, Semi-Structured, Unstructured datasetsMonitor, validate, and drive continuous improvement to methods, and propose enhancements to data sources that improve usability and resultsProven time and project management skills, experience in Agile Methodology is desiredGood communication and presentation skillsAnalytical, structured, organized, and proactiveWe are committed to providing a fair and accessible hiring process.
