As a Data Visualization Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work both independently and with a cooperative team on complex projects that may span multiple applications. You will develop your professional network and leadership skills, assisting in the creation and support of IT Solutions that enable Caterpillar success. Further, you will contribute real value by developing, integrating, and/or supporting in-house and purchased applications to solve business problems. You will be responsible for implementation of business (processes/activities/functions, information), applications, data and technology in the enterprise and the transitional process necessary for implementing technology in response to changing business needs.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to support data-driven decision-making.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver actionable insights through visual analytics.
Optimize data models and DAX queries for high performance and scalability across large datasets.
Integrate Power BI with Snowflake and other enterprise data sources to ensure seamless data connectivity and refresh.
Administer SAP BusinessObjects, managing user access, report scheduling, and system performance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine reporting and visualization needs.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all reporting platforms and tools.
Support ad-hoc reporting requests and provide training and guidance to end-users.
Automate reporting and data tasks using Python, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual effort
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
4+ years of experience in Power BI and SAP BusinessObjects (BoBJ) development with a strong reporting portfolio.
Advanced SQL proficiency for querying and transforming large datasets.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including query optimization and feature utilization.
Expert in Power BI Service, Power Query, DAX, and data modeling for scalable reporting solutions.
Skilled in SAP BusinessObjects tools like Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports.
Experienced in BOBJ administration, covering user access, security, and scheduling.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with a proven ability to gather and deliver on business requirements.
Working knowledge of Python for automation and data processing tasks.
Familiar with ITSM processes, including incident management and resolution across P1–P4 tickets.
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
Good to have:
Perform ETL operations using SQL, ensuring clean, structured, and reliable data pipelines.
Candidate should be flexible to work in rotational shifts including night shifts.
Client/Business partner facing skills, ability to run workshops.
Experience in Leading the Team in the Data Visualization projects.

Additional Info:
This position will require travelling about 30% of the time.
