You will have the opportunity to access technical and leadership certification programs, clear career paths that enhance your growth mindset and guarantee your professional achievements **Your role and responsibilities** We are looking for motivated and tech-passionate people to: * Administer and optimize PostgreSQL environments with a focus on replication, backup/restore, and high availability (HA) * Perform in-depth performance tuning, including indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and query optimization * Define and implement secure database configurations including roles, privileges, encryption, and auditing * Design and execute migration strategies from SQL Server to PostgreSQL * Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and scalable database solutions * Continuously analyze and improve database performance, reliability, and maintainability **Required technical and professional expertise** '- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex solutions based on PostgreSQL, including advanced configuration for replication, backup/restore, and high availability (HA) - Solid experience supporting technical teams in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to PostgreSQL environments, ensuring ongoing maintenance and performance optimization - Strong understanding of relational database concepts, SQL standards, and implications of architectural decisions in PostgreSQL - Advanced SQL programming skills with hands-on experience in performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and execution plan analysis in PostgreSQL - Experience with database migration projects, particularly transitioning from SQL Server to PostgreSQL - Familiarity with PostgreSQL security best practices, including user role management, privilege control, data encryption, and auditing - Availability to travel is an additional mandatory prerequisite **Preferred technical and professional experience** '- Agile mindset: ability to process changes of priorities and requests, ownership, critical thinking - Experience with AWS cloud and integration platforms (Airflow, Step Functions) One of the following: - Experience with Data Governance tools - Experience with a business intelligence tool (e.g. Power BI, SAP BI, Oracle OBIEE, SAS Visual Analytics/ Viya) IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
