Responsibilities:
Implement well tested scalable data engineering solutions by following best practices and architectural principles while being responsible for all stages of the development lifecycle, from design and coding to integration, optimization, deployment, and support.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs, capturing key insights in comprehensive documentation.
Build and maintain scalable data infrastructure by provisioning cloud resources to support data processing and storage needs, following security and compliance standards.
Organize, unify and optimize data from multiple structured and unstructured sources and environments to build robust, multi-functional data assets that support analytics.
Develop high quality frameworks to enhance efficiency of the development processes ensuring uniformity of the data pipelines.
Implement sophisticated data models that support multiple use cases across different products and domains.
Solve exciting data engineering problems applying optimal ETL/ELT patterns and advanced query techniques.
At least 2 years of data/software engineering experience including data analysis, design and implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines.
Significant programming experience (Python, Java, Scala, etc.)
Good SQL knowledge applied to real-case scenarios.
Familiarity with basic data modeling principles.
Solid understanding of relational databases and data warehouses.
Hands-on experience with Databricks is important.
Understanding of basic DevOps principles (CICD, version control, automated testing)
Experience with git version control system.
Strong communications skills and the ability to cooperate with both stakeholders and technical staff in English.
Nice to have:
Experience with one or more Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data
Factory or Snowflake is a plus.
Knowledge of Spark architecture is considered a valuable plus.
Familiarity with consuming web APIs is a plus
