Leading Financial Services organization is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support this Data Warehouse for a long-term contract assignment in Charlotte, NC or Chandler, AZ.
Contract Duration: 24 months
**Required Skills & Experience**
+ 5+ years of professional data engineering experience
+ Strong ETL development and support experience.
+ Advanced SQL skills – critical for troubleshooting and writing queries independently.
+ Ability to:
+ Investigate data discrepancies.
+ Optimize data pipelines and SQL queries.
+ Support job monitoring and performance tuning.
**Desired Skills & Experience**
+ Experience converting applications from .NET to Java
+ Background in banking or financial services domains
+ Familiarity with compliance-driven and regulated environments
+ Cloud technologies
**What You Will Be Doing**
+ Help with ETL processes
+ Write and optimize complex SQL queries - MUST have
+ Investigate and resolve data issues raised by downstream consumers (e.g., incorrect or stale data).
+ Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, especially related to data refresh lags and job inefficiencies.
+ Work on incidents, deployments, and operations for the Data Warehouse system.
Must be eligible to work on W2 without sponsorship
