Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our growing analytics team. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines between ServiceNow and Snowflake to support analytics and AI-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for extracting data from ServiceNow, transforming it using Python, and loading it into Snowflake. They will also package and send datasets to internal AI endpoints to support article regeneration and automation use cases. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with large datasets, and passionate about optimizing data processes.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable ETL/ELT solutions to extract data from ServiceNow REST APIs and ingest into Snowflake.Develop Python scripts to clean, normalize, and parse JSON or XML responses from ServiceNow.Build and maintain data models in Snowflake to support analytics and AI workflows.Integrate with AI endpoints by preparing and sending structured datasets.Automate pipeline execution using orchestration tools such as Airflow or Snowflake Tasks.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.Maintain clear documentation for data pipelines, transformations, and AI integrations.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.3+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, ETL development, or database administration.Proficiency in Python, especially for data manipulation (e.g., pandas, JSON, requests).Experience with ServiceNow APIs (REST, SOAP) and OAuth2 authentication.Strong knowledge of Snowflake, including SQL, Snowpipe, and data loading techniques.Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and external API integrations.Understanding of data security, privacy standards, and handling sensitive data.Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with Snowflake UDFs, external functions, and AI service integration.Minimum 2+ years in data engineering.Working knowledge of AI endpoints and automation.Work Environment
This role will be part of a larger data and analytics team, collaborating closely with team members to achieve collective goals. The work environment involves utilizing advanced technologies such as Python, Snowflake (Tasks, UDFs), ServiceNow REST API, and Airflow. Candidates will engage in high-priority AI integration tasks, requiring knowledge of AI endpoints and automation processes. The team operates in a dynamic setting, emphasizing innovation and teamwork.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
