HOW A DATA ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Designs, develops, maintains, and tests infrastructures for data generation as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teamsPerforms integration of complex large-scale hardware, software, and system architecture components to ensure reliable and sustainable operation of the technology solutionContributes to completion of milestones associated with specific projectsDevelops data-driven solutions to business challenges of moderate scope/complexityUtilizes advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict, and make discoveries in dataEvaluates the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniquesUse predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, efficiencies, process improvements, and other business outcomesAssist with identifying opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions through analytic insightsMay develop processes and machine learning based tools to monitor and analyze model and performance and data accuracyPerforms additional duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor of Science in computer science, information systems, or related fieldRequired Experience: 4+ years of related experience supporting database and reporting and analytic solutionsRequired Technical Skills:  Strong working experience with SQL and other databases (i.e., DB2, PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora) and Python experience; Strong data analytic and problem-solving experience working through complex data challenges including supporting application development and reporting needs; Experience working with AWS or other cloud DB services and API developmentSecurity Clearance Level: Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearanceRequired Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to collaborate with others effectively and efficiently at all levels within the organizationPreferred Skills: Experience supporting CMS working with healthcare data supporting program integrity; Advanced problem solving and strong communication skills; Experience in information architecture, data architecture, data modeling, data governance, ETL design, data quality and BI analytics; Experience working with Apache NiFi, Kafka, ETL development and methodologies; Experience with role-based access control, DB security, and data encryption auditingLocation: Remote working 100%Residency Requirement: Must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years

The likely salary range for this position is $80,750 - $109,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
