About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Data Operations team within the Horizontal Engineering group. This is a technical, hands-on role where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and datasets in Trimble's Enterprise Data Warehouse. You will work with a variety of technologies including databases like Snowflake, ETL tools, APIs, scripting languages, and BI tools like Domo.

What You Will Be Doing

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and analytics needs.Work with Snowflake and other database technologies to manage and optimize data storage and retrieval.Utilize ETL tools to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.Write scripts in languages such as Python or SQL to support data processing and automation tasks.Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality datasets and reports.Use BI tools like Domo to create dashboards and visualizations that provide actionable insights.Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines and datasets.Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics.

What Skills & Experience You Should Have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud database technologies such as Snowflake.Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes.Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python.Experience with APIs for data ingestion.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Ability to juggle multiple priorities and ongoing projects.

What Skills & Experience You Could Have

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Familiarity with BI tools like Domo for data visualization and reporting.Familiarity with data governance and security practices.
