About the Role:
CSI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our growing Data Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, database design principles, and ETL development using SQL and Python. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is eager to learn, and enjoys solving complex data challenges. Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using SQL and PythonModel and structure data to support efficient querying and reportingOptimize queries to support rapid data consumptionImplement and optimize data storage solutions using MS SQL Server and SnowflakeCollaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insightsHelp to determine analysis requirements and build corresponding data pipelines to support data modeling for dashboards and other report outputsWork with a team of developers in an Agile Scrum development environmentEnsure data quality, integrity, and governance across all systemsDevelop and maintain documentation for data processes and architecture

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, a related field, or equivalent experience5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar roleStrong proficiency in Python and SQL for ETL developmentDeep understanding of data modeling and database design principlesHands-on experience with MS SQL Server and SnowflakeExperience with data orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, dbt, or Apache AirflowFamiliarity with Looker or similar BI toolsExperience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Azure DevOps), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, OCI)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication, collaboration skills, and team-player mentalityAwareness of data governance and security best practices

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud data platforms and servicesFamiliarity with Postgres and Oracle PLSQL
