About the Role
Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructures that power advanced analytics, machine learning, and Martech solutions – enabling data-driven decision-making and personalized customer experiences across AIA’s rapidly growing digital business.Roles and Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline Development & Maintenance:
Design, build, and maintain robust pipelines from various cloud-based source systems into the central data warehouse.Manage data pipelines that serve the AIA+ app and products placed on partners’ digital platforms for policy and claims displays, as well as Martech and lead management platforms for targeted customer engagement.Ensure real-time and batch data flows are reliable, including critical data such as medical Guarantee Letters for cashless admission.Data Modelling & Repository Management:
Develop and maintain logical data structures to support the Digital Business central data repository and ensure smooth end-to-end data flow, for two primary use cases:Business Dashboards – Monitoring digital and online-to-offline sales performance.Machine Learning Models – Support targeting use cases such as predicting next-product purchase likelihood and lead conversion potential.Maintain data availability and quality across all layers to ensure accurate and timely insights.Automation & Feature Engineering:
Automate transformation of raw data into semantic views (e.g., Customer 360) for regular analysis on customer insights.Continuously explore and identify new data points to enhance modelling and business analysis.Machine Learning Engineering:
Support end-to-end ML pipelines, from data preparation to serving model outputs for business use.Ensure regular refresh and delivery of model output and scores to relevant platforms.Web Analytics & Tagging:
Implement and maintain front-end tagging across digital selling and lead generation pages.Ingest tagged data for funnel analysis and as features in ML models.Data Infrastructure & Tools Management:
Support the functional team lead in overseeing the full data tech stack, including cloud-based repositories, ML tools, and dashboarding platforms.Ensure all components (e.g., service principals, integrations) are operational and up to date.Marketing CDP Integration:
Manage regular ingestion of customer profile updates into the marketing CDP for audience segmentation and targeting.Minimum Job Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in architecting, developing and maintaining state of the art databases, data platforms and data services, practice experience with cloud infrastructure, data infrastructure e.g. Hadoop / RDS, and data analytic tools. Familiarity with mainstream AI frameworks and tools is a plus.Experience working with Azure Data tools and cloud computing e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, BI systems like Power BI and work on databases (Azure SQL DB, Oracle DB, etc.)Strong command of SQL and must be able to develop custom data processing that requires knowledge of scripting languages and programming languages like Python.Results oriented – able to identify core of a problem, define what needs to be done and execute with the teams to deliver.Strong conceptual thinking combined with excellent problem-solving capabilities and an innovative mindsetAbility to build relationships in an international environment with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at different levels of the organisationAbility to clearly and effectively communicate (both oral and written) technical components of the development process to non-technical stakeholders and external audiencesAn entrepreneurial attitude who is obsessive about the business problem and has the ability to work in a fast paced, flexible environment on multiple concurrent projectsExperience with different development methodologies including Agile, Water Fall, etc.Familiarity with data science techniques and frameworks is a plusExposure to start-up environment or digital insurance business will be an added advantage.Build a career with us as we help our customers and the community live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
