About the Role:As a Data Center Technician, you will work within the IT Infrastructure domain and contribute to planning, creating and implementing an IT vision and strategy aligned with the company’s business plan. You will be responsible for the execution and tracking of all activities within the current and future processing environment as well as project and migration planning, critical systems engineering, and facilities management. You will manage the relationships with facilities management and third-party support vendors while managing operating costs.
Key Responsibilities:
Work in Data Center to bring servers and switches onlineMaintain hardware onsite including, servers, storage, switches and routersUnderstanding on technical principles behind large UPS and HVAC units, and generatorsPerform special customer requests in accordance with their respective SLA'sDemonstrate troubleshooting skills through resolutionReads and analyzes technical references and sources to obtain knowledge of assigned Engineering Operations topicsOperational and technical problems with standard solutionsMaintain inventory of all hardware change management documentationRack preparationServer preparationServer installsHelp with data center capacity and growth planning rack and server layoutProvide on-site support in the Data Center during incidents, RMA, project and maintenance activitiesProvide tier II support for data and network systems infrastructure

Required Skills and Qualifications
3 or more years working within operations and/or a data centerAbility to pass required government security clearanceAbility to accurately maintain documentation, spread sheets, technical schematics and diagramsExperience in computer cabling, both fiber and copperExperience in repair/replacement of computer components and hardwareMust exhibit good written and verbal communication skills in EnglishA strong and enthusiastic individual is necessary for this roleA logical thinker, who can provide a high level of operational excellence and efficiency to any organizationFlexible, enthusiastic and pragmaticReliable and approachableIntelligent and analytical but customer focusedBasic knowledge with Windows, LINUX or UNIX Operating systemAbility to work in a physically demanding settingAbility to perform repetitive technical workWillingness to travel upon demand What Cencora offersBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
