**Data Center Technician** **Location - Ottawa, Canada** **Job Summary** DC Hands and Feet Support Engineer Equipment Moves Installation and Setup Troubleshooting and Break Fix Tasks Decommissioning and Disposal Maintenance and Repairs Monitoring and Reporting Inventory Asset Management Emergency Response Lab Cleanliness and Safety Basic Testbed Support **Responsibilities** Install and configure hardware components such as servers routers and switches Basic installation of OS Windows Linux ESXi Installation and networking of Managed Power Distribution Unites mPDUs Intra and Interlab equipment and rack moves Perform cable management including running organizing topology clean-up and labelling network cables Troubleshooting and Break Fix Tasks Conduct basic diagnostics to identify hardware issues. Network debugging tracking layer 1 to 3 issues Equipment Moves Installation and Setup Troubleshooting and Break Fix Tasks Inventory Asset Management Decommissioning and Disposal Maintenance and Repairs Monitoring and Reporting Inventory Asset Management Emergency Response **Certifications Required** Router Switch OS installation and Upgrade experience is must Rack & Stack PDU installation experience is must Cognizant is an equal opportunity employer.
