Preferred qualifications: + Understanding of intermediate OS, PC hardware and networking concepts, tools and protocols. + Ability to lift/move heavy equipment as needed. + Ability to start in 2026. The Hardware Operations team is responsible for building and maintaining physical infrastructure behind Google's systems. As a Data Center Technician, you will install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware (e.g., servers and their components) and interact with server software (e.g., Google's Linux clusters). You will also deploy and maintain Google's advanced data center server and network infrastructure. + Contribute efforts/projects in the deployment, maintenance, and support of current and new data center infrastructure. + Provide troubleshooting, and resolve critical, or escalated technical issues. + Help test and troubleshoot new server hardware components and designs. + Configure and troubleshoot Linux OS-related issues on servers.
