The team ensures end-to-end inventory accuracy, material accountability, and logistical readiness across both live environments and data center build projects. DCICM safeguards inventory practices from initial receipt through full operational handoff and sustainment.
Responsibility Description: We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Inventory Manager (M2) to lead inventory operations during both the build and post-build sustainment phases of data center infrastructure. This manager will guide senior inventory specialists, manage third-party logistics (3PL) partners, and act as a key enabler for day-to-day material movement. They will also ensure that the best practices and controls introduced by DCICM during the build phase remain intact as the site transitions into steady-state operations. The ideal candidate proactively removes roadblocks for their team, solves problems in real time, and ensures a culture of operational discipline and accountability continues long after construction is complete.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Build & Post-Build Support:Oversee inventory control operations throughout the construction phase and into live operation. Ensure that DCICM policies, standards, and controls established during the build are sustained once the site is handed off to long-term operations teams.Team Leadership & Support: Lead and develop a team of Inventory Control Specialists (IC4 and below). Actively remove operational roadblocks, prioritize workflows, and provide hands-on assistance during critical or constrained periods.Operational Escalation Point: Serve as the central escalation contact for issues affecting inventory accuracy, material flow, warehouse delays, or job site availability. Drive resolution by coordinating with stakeholders and stepping in when needed.3PL Oversight: Manage third-party logistics providers supporting inbound receiving, warehouse storage, and outbound site delivery. Hold vendors accountable to service levels and performance targets through consistent engagement and oversight.Inventory Accuracy & Audit Compliance: Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts, audits, reconciliations, and root cause analysis. Uphold internal controls and compliance standards at all times.Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with sourcing, logistics, construction, operations, and engineering teams to align material needs with build plans and operational readiness requirements.Material Flow Execution: Maintain a continuous flow of materials from receipt to deployment across warehouse and job site environments. Prevent bottlenecks, shortages, or material misroutes by owning the movement plan end-to-end.Post-Build Controls Ownership: Ensure that all inventory practices—including labeling, tracking, auditing, reconciliation, and system hygiene—are adhered to beyond the initial build, especially during the operational sustainment phase.System Integrity & Data Analysis: Maintain system accuracy using Oracle or equivalent ERP tools. Monitor and report on KPIs such as inventory accuracy, throughput, shrinkage, and vendor performance. Leverage analytics to drive operational insights.Standard Process Governance: Develop, maintain, and enforce SOPs that drive consistency across sites and partners. Continuously improve processes in partnership with other DCICM leaders.Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
10+ years in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics, including 3+ years in a direct leadership role.Demonstrated experience supporting infrastructure build projects and managing operations through transition into steady-state.Deep familiarity with inventory processes in ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PL).Strong communication, leadership, and operational troubleshooting skills.Willingness to be hands-on and assist operationally when team bandwidth is constrained or urgent needs arise.Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Professional certifications (e.g., CPIM, CSCP, PMP) preferred.Knowledge of lean practices like 5S or Six Sigma.Strong Excel and data visualization/reporting skills.Experience working across both greenfield and live operational environments.Visa Status Allowed: Not Allowed
