Data Center Critical Environment Lead

Job Description:
The Data Center Critical Environment Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of mission-critical infrastructure within a data center. This role ensures the reliability, efficiency, and safety of systems such as power, cooling, and environmental controls, while leading a team of technicians and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision:
+ Manage and mentor a team of technicians responsible for critical environment systems.
+ Develop shift schedules and delegate tasks to ensure 24/7 coverage and operational continuity.
+ Ensure compliance with training, safety, and operational standards
Operations & Maintenance:
+ Oversee the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
+ Coordinate and execute routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
+ Ensure minimal disruption during system changes or outages
Client & Vendor Coordination:
+ Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and contractors working within the facility.
+ Ensure work quality and safety compliance during third-party activities
+ Infrastructure Planning & Support:
+ Assist in planning and executing server installations, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
+ Support disaster recovery testing and ensure readiness for emergency situations
Reporting & Documentation:
+ Maintain accurate records of system performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
+ Provide timely updates and reports to management and stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
+ Proven experience in mission-critical environments (e.g., data centers, hospitals, manufacturing).
+ Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
+ Familiarity with systems such as HVAC, UPS, generators, and BMS.
+ Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb ladders, and respond to emergencies
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, IT, or related field preferred.
Experience Level:
Intermediate to Expert Level
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
