**About this role**
This role is the team leader of the data center hardware and software engineers. The primary responsibility is implementing engineering initiatives and ensuring consistent engineering deliverables. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Be able to comprehend, analyze, and interpret construction plans and specification documents.
+ Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action. Establish and maintain a relationship with Automated Logic Factory to provide necessary intelligence on Data Center Field Operations requirements.
+ Plan, organize, and direct engineering teams to ensure an accurate engineering package is deployed for each turnkey project.
+ Coordinate and manage all engineering work, including hardware drawing sets and correct and accurate software programs. Ensure engineering tasks meet agreed upon budget by effectively communicating expectations to team. Effectively communicate financial status of engineering budgets and required resource needs to management on a monthly basis.
+ Support the ALC North America Engineering Manager in the implementation, continued use, and enhancement of the EDS engineering platform. Routinely maintain open lines of communication for expected feedback of all engineering tools.
+ Assist DC Sales organization in meetings, scope reviews, and presentations, be able to assist in value added discussions in order to win projects.
+ Assist DC Sales organization in negotiation and estimation of new orders/contracts. Support sales with Key Accounts within portfolio regarding customer interaction and overall planning process.
+ Establish and maintain vendor relationships for products that enhance our engineered offering.
+ Assist in developing Training and Mentoring plans and continuously assist in the training of new and current Software and Hardware Engineers.
+ Participate in peer reviews, turnover meetings, post mortem meetings and close out meetings as required on priority projects.
+ Be able to conduct effective interviews with engineering candidates.
+ Assist operations in revenue and manpower forecasts.
+ Professionally represent Carrier in meetings and always be proactive in understanding the company’s best interest.
+ Ensure all Organizational safety and ethics standards are met.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelors Degree in Engineering
+ 10+ years of experience in Building Automation
+ 10+ years of experience in layout and troubleshooting of IP networks
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
+ Management experience with a focus on multiple, concurrent projects.
+ Experience working within a construction environment.
+ Experience developing and implementing strategies to grow business profitability and market share.
+ Analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
+ A positive outlook with an ability to motivate and empower.
+ Adaptable to changing work environments.
