Data Base Administrator

We are looking for a Data Base Administrator to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.

The Database Administrator is responsible for configuring, administering, monitoring, and upgrading specialized hardware and software systems.

Your Challenge:

Configure and administer Enterprise Databases, ensuring system availability, quality, security, and performanceMonitor health and performance of hardware and software and adhere to uptime requirementsPreserve data integrity, ethically handle private data, and enable data distribution to the right usersManage and monitor backup solutions to prevent data lossAdhere to cybersecurity measures and action vulnerabilities as requiredSupport software updates and own hardware updates including operating system patching and upgradesExtract, clone, and load data to support Digital Transformation initiativesAssist with software applications, integration, or reporting query performanceConfigure intersystem connections, such as LDAP authentication methodsTroubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues to prevent downtimeCollaborate with other IT teams to ensure proper system integration and functionality and test changes to configurationsEstablish, maintain, and improve standards and best practices.

What you Bring:

Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearanceBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum relevant experience of 5-7 yearsProven experience as a Database AdministratorExperience on Linux serversCoding/scripting experience highly desiredKnowledge of version control systemsUnderstanding of air gap networksExperience with environments running Oracle databasesFamiliarity with ORDS configurationFamiliarity with Oracle APEXFamiliarity with Oracle E-Business Suite or E-Business Suite DBA activities
