DevOps Data Specialist
**Overview** As a DevOps Data Specialist, you will spearhead the implementation of Azure DevOps and GitHub from the ground up for the Data Team, including setting up CI/CD pipelines, version control, and controlled deployments. You are comfortable working in environments where DevOps is not yet mature and will gladly take the lead here where everyone else is focused on Data Architecture. You can balance DevOps responsibilities with some data engineering tasks and are willing to bridge both areas. Come join our journey! **Responsibilities** **Responsibilities:** + Implement Azure DevOps from the ground up for the team, including setting up CI/CD pipelines, version control, and controlled deployments. + Maintain and support DevOps practices on a day-to-day basis, ensuring stable and efficient deployment processes. + Provide technical solutions for integration between applications, with a focus on Azure Synapse as middleware. + Conduct peer reviews and ensure team adherence to DevOps and CI/CD best practices. + Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines, especially when data is missing or not flowing as expected. + Generate programmatic reports (primarily Excel/SharePoint, not Power BI) as needed for business users. + Support future re-architecture initiatives, including moving towards an iPaaS (integration platform as a service) layer. + Ability to help with data analysis and data flow across the applications and systems + Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions + Leverage Azure and Fabric services to help build scalable and cost-effective data solutions + Travel Requirement: 10% travel to various locations in North America to meet with IT team or onsite for project execution. During large scale projects, the percentage could fluctuate. **Qualifications** **Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:** + B.A. or BS. ins Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience. + 5–7 years of total experience, with at least 2–4 years in data engineering or data architecture. + Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub, including implementation from scratch. + Solid knowledge of Azure Synapse and SQL Server, with the ability to use Synapse as middleware for application integration. + Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment automation.
