Role overview:

 

 

This role is a part of the GBS Data and Analytics team. We are a team of doers working passionately to apply cutting-edge advances in technology to solve real-world problems. As a data modeler, you will work directly with architects and engineers in creating and optimizing data models to translate complex business data into usable computer systems. You are expected to support the enhancement of data governance, quality, and accessibility, ultimately empowering our organization to make data-driven decisions and achieve strategic objectives.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

 

 

Graduated in (Business) Informatics, IT, computer science or a related field. 

3 + years of experience in data architecture, relational modelling and multidimensional modelling - mostly Kimball modeling, experience in data and business vault modelling is a plus. 

Proficient in SQL and in using a cloud-based data warehousing platform such as Snowflake. 

Experience in using data modelling platform such as Power Designer. 

Experience in leveraging a data dictionary platform such as Atlan or Collibra 

Familiarization in master data and reference data concepts. Experience in MDM platform such as SAP-MDG is a plus. 

Working knowledge of data engineering activities mainly ETL pipeline development 

Technical and business documentation writing expertise 

Domain knowledge – Finance, Commercial, Consumer etc

 

Preferred Qualification: 

Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations. 

Understanding of development and management of data infrastructure and service. 

Proven success in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy. 

Experience working directly with remote technical teams

HOW CAN YOU MAKE HISTORY WITH US? 

 

 

Designing and implementation of data models to support data products design and delivery. 

Documenting full data lineage and data mapping rules. 

Provide data architecture for analytics and business intelligence. 

Optimizing and Maintaining Warehouse: Continuously improve the performance and scalability of the data warehouse, implementing optimization techniques and best practices. 

Mindset focused on reusability, scalability and end-to-end ownership. 

Effective communication skills that include documentation of design, build and test procedure, and maintenance.  

Problem-Solving: Leveraging innovative approaches to optimize processes and enhance data quality. 

Proactive Role: Actively anticipate and resolve potential data issues before they escalate, demonstrating a proactive approach to data.
