What you will do:
Responsible for conducting data analysis, analyzing trends, and creating visualizations and dashboards. The Data Analyst will be expected to understand established procedures and recommend improvements.
Primary Duties:
Under close guidance, design, build and maintain data acquisition and transformation scripts using the following languages: Java, Python, Bash, Tableau, and SQL.
Investigate, develop and implement new methods, procedures and technologies to promote automated processes and efficiencies within the Underwriting department.
Apply statistical analysis and tools to resolve questions regarding production metrics; provide detail regarding problems and offer solutions and recommendations.
Review daily reports and perform periodic system reviews to ensure proper functionality
Completes other duties as assigned by management.
Education
Four-year college degree in business, computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of
education and experience preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a traditional data or analytics corporate environment.
Knowledge / Skills / Competencies
Professional verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to analyze, organize and recognize priorities required
Advanced skills in using Microsoft Access/ Project/ Word/ Excel skills (incl. VBA, macros, complex calculations, etc.) required
Strong SQL skills with data mining knowledge.
Tableau preferred.
Python a plus.
Able to rapidly learn new processes, databases, applications.
Innovative mindset with demonstrated creativity or innovation in some past work experience preferred.
The starting pay range for this position is:
$72,700.00 - $96,800.00Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
