Data Analyst Technical Staff or Senior
**Job Description:** The Technical Data Analyst position is focused on generating impactful solutions for customers within a defined clinical or business area. This position supports Community Health including Social Determinants of Health screening and interventions and Language Services. Some of the current projects are: Creating reporting to track screening rates, intervention rates, social needs, interpretation rates, combining data from different healthcare EMRs (Epic and Cerner), cleaning, combining and preparing data from multiple vendors for analytics, and managing extracts sent to vendors. The analyst facilitates regular meetings with customer stakeholders to provide work updates, set project priorities and establish deliverable timelines. They have a deep understanding of the clinical and operating data for the areas they support and consult with Healthcare Data Advisors to ensure the integrity and accuracy of customer data. They drive information insights through data exploration, interpretation, report development and visual storytelling. Senior analysts also mentor junior caregivers providing technical guidance and adherence to best practices. However, we are currently not considering candidates who reside or plan to reside in the following states: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington. **Essential Functions** + Primary support for management level leadership of a system/regional business or clinical area. + Meet regularly with leadership to provide work updates, set project priorities, and establish deliverable timelines. + Partner with Healthcare Data Advisors and Data Architects to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data for the area(s) they support. + Receive customer requests and develop/deliver meaningful information through data exploration, interpretation, report development and visual storytelling. + Effectively communicate analytic findings and recommendations to both technical and business executives. T + Regularly schedule and provide analytic work demonstrations and hands-on training for customers to promote understanding and independent consumption of analytic work. + Augment technical skillset through individual learning and participation in Intermountain analytic community educational offerings. **Skills** + SQL & database design + Data visualization tools + Office applications proficiency + Communication skills + Health care data expertise + Lifelong learner + Individual & team success **Physical Requirements:** **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications** + Strong skills in SQL and database management tasks. + Proficiency in developing advanced visualizations and dashboards. + High proficiency in office applications for detailed reports and presentations. + Strong communication skills with experience presenting data insights to senior leaders. + Deep knowledge of healthcare data through specialized projects. + Experience fostering team collaboration and supporting individual development. + Demonstrated ability to stay updated on industry trends and advancements. + Proven experience in providing mentorship and guidance to junior analysts. + Advanced knowledge of Product Management, Project Management, or Program Management philosophies and methodologies, and capable of applying them to data analytic projects to ensure alignment with business goals and efficient execution **Preferred Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare analytics and informatics, or healthcare administration. + Bachelor’s degree in another area of study with six years of relevant work experience in a role performing data analysis. + Experience without a related degree will be considered if skill set and experience are robust. ****There is the possibility of this position being hired at the senior level based on the individuals experience.
