We are the Data & Analytics Chapter, part of newly created \"Integrated Informatics\" at Roche. We build excellence and mastery in next generation data and analytics capabilities, including but not limited to Business Intelligence & Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Data Management & Governance.

The Position

We are looking for a Data Analyst (Specialist) who will join us in the newly created Integrated Informatics setup. The position holder will be part of a journey to drive and promote efficient and effective Insights using modern technologies.

The Data Analyst is a big-picture thinker who understands the value of data to the organisation and the importance of Insights. The Data Analyst is a practitioner used to turn business requirements into solutions, and turn data into insights,

In this position you will support Roche IT business domains to successfully implement Insights Solutions. Your technical expertise is key for your daily duties and challenges.

Dissect business processes into key components to help our teams identify and tackle topics with high impact

Define key performance indicators to measure and understand if our initiatives achieve success, or if we need to pivot to a new approach

Run analytics quantifying effects on company metrics

Guide junior colleagues in the team by offering pointers, support, and reviews in their day-to-day tasks, and by co-creating code and visualization standards and templates

Data-driven upskilling - we're passionate about helping the whole organisation become better at using data to drive decisions. We do this through upskilling, coaching and sharing our best examples on a regular basis

Supply a data-driven organization with fuel - from one-off insights to setting up fully automated dashboards

Responsibilities

You will work on various aspects of Data Analytics, including but not limited to:

Act as the Subject Matter Expert supporting the successful implementation of Data Insights in collaboration with IT product teams and/or business domains

Support the definition and maintenance of data analytics 1

Guide the definition of KPIs for tracking business success

be part of IT product teams working with agile methods (backlogs, features, user stories etc.)

Qualifications and Experience 

Bringing valuable experience in the following areas: Standard Data Visualization, Custom Data Visualization, Data Mining, Data Insights, Augmented Analytics, Data Cleansing, Data Modelling

Experience in facilitating gathering of business requirements

Problem solving skills

Ability to escalate and drive management decisions in relation to IT product backlogs

3+ years of Data Analysis related activities

Bachelor’s Degree with strong data understanding through experience
