Data Analyst
Description We are looking for a dedicated Data Analyst to join our team in New York, New York. This long-term contract position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment, focusing on gift processing and donor data management. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of donor information while supporting various aspects of gift processing and analytics. Responsibilities: • Process and manage gifts, including cash, online donations, direct-mail contributions, and pledges, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with organizational standards. • Maintain and update donor records in Raiser’s Edge, including demographic information, relationships, and attributes, while resolving duplicate record issues. • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate gift processing and approvals, including batch entry and troubleshooting discrepancies. • Generate acknowledgment letters and tribute cards, overseeing biweekly reporting and inquiries related to donor communications. • Process direct mail and online donations using ImportOmatic, validating and editing batches for accuracy. • Upload and organize donor-related documents in Raiser’s Edge, ensuring accessibility and proper documentation. • Manage grant agreement processes, including obtaining necessary signatures and coordinating with stakeholders. • Address internal inquiries related to donors and gifts, providing timely and effective solutions. • Liaise with external processors to oversee the handling of direct mail gifts processed offsite. • Ensure timely and accurate entry of pledges, coordinating with finance for approval and tracking. Requirements • Proven experience in gift processing or nonprofit analytics, ideally within a data-driven environment. • Proficiency in using Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT for donor management and data processing. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy under tight deadlines. • Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach to collaborating with various departments. • Ability to troubleshoot data entry issues and resolve donor-related inquiries efficiently. • Familiarity with ImportOmatic for processing and validating donation batches. • Flexibility to work overtime during peak periods, such as year-end busy seasons. • Experience managing acknowledgment letters and donor correspondence processes.
