Data Analyst
Description We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in supporting our mortgage operations by analyzing data, ensuring compliance, and managing contract processes. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong analytical mindset and experience in the mortgage industry. Responsibilities: • Manage the entire lifecycle of contracts, including tracking progress, ensuring milestones are achieved, and handling amendments and approvals. • Oversee pricing and lock procedures for bond loans to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Develop and deliver communications and training materials related to system updates impacting the department. • Analyze potential new investors and programs, as well as maintain pricing and product information for current investors. • Maintain expertise in delivery requirements across various Housing Finance Agencies (HFAs) and State Housing Agencies. • Create and update training guides and intranet resources for the Secondary Marketing Lock Desk. • Publish and distribute investor rate sheets on a daily basis. • Reconcile and process invoices related to Secondary Marketing and investor activities. • Act as a liaison between investors, branches, and internal departments to address inquiries and resolve issues. • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc audits, partnering with Hilltop Holdings audit personnel to meet organizational compliance requirements. Requirements • High School Diploma required; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field is preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the mortgage industry. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels. • Proven ability to manage details, analyze data, and think critically. • Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities. • Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with data mining techniques, data visualization, and business intelligence tools such as Informatica and Maps API.
