Data Analyst

Emerson is seeking a Data Analyst to provide analytical support to our business units by conducting a variety of data collection and analysis activities. The Data Analyst excels in acquiring, analyzing, reviewing, and visualizing data to support informed decisions on pricing, product management, and market opportunities within our industry. 

AS THE PRODUCT DATA ANALYST, YOU WILL: ​​​

Work as part of an analytics team to maintain and continuously improve self-service analytics tools for business users. Help create executive reports on sales, orders, quotes, and pricing information. Stay up to date on the latest opportunities to utilize AI for improved data quality and user experiences.Structure large data sets to find usable information from SQL databases.Utilize Python, Excel, and Power BI depending on the request. Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to support business performance. Work with business users to help correct data quality issues with training and documentation.Define requirements for projects involving data engineering teams and other world area users.Create reports and metrics to drive more efficient operational planning meetings. Investigate reporting discrepancies with a worldwide range of business users. Simplify and communicate complex data processes to business users to help them achieve clearer insights.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

BA or BS Degree 

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: 

BA or BS Degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Data Management, Data Analysis, Computer Science, Mathematics, Software, Statistics, Accounting/Finance

2 years related experience
