Job duties include but are not limited to:• Designs and develops new functions or applications using programming languages to perform analyses using commercial claims data.• Develops and maintains reports on commercial health data and key performance indicators to evaluate behavioral health service delivery and assess network adequacy.• Conducts data analysis (including commercial claims and financial data) to inform the development of programs and policies.• Responds to ad hoc data requests by providing timely analysis, results, and data-driven solutions.• Researches and evaluates new data sources and analytical tools, offering recommendations for implementation.• Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to identify data needs and deliver analytical insights tailored to their objectives.• Maintains and supports data-related processes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and reliability across systems.• Prepares, interprets, and communicates analytical findings to non-technical audiences, including OMH leadership and external partners.• Creates narrative reports and visual presentations, including charts and tables, using data visualization software to support decision-making. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have one year of permanent service as a Data Analyst 1 OR bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in data visualization, and statistical models and data mining tools.A master’s degree in data or computer science, informatics, economics, statistics, mathematics, or a related field, may substitute for one year of the specialized experience.
