Why does this role exist?
This role is critical to supporting the company’s AI-powered recruitment and student engagement platform by ensuring accurate extraction, transformation, and reporting of student transcript data. The assistant will help build and maintain dashboards and scorecards that drive data-informed decision-making. The goal is to quickly onboard a skilled analyst who can manage complex transcript workflows, maintain data quality, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve reporting processes.

The Impact you’ll makeData Extraction & Transformation\nManually extract course details, credit weights, and grades from transcripts\nConvert PDFs into structured spreadsheets as part of the reporting workflow\nCalculate GPAs using predefined rules with precision\n
Data Quality Assurance\nReview and correct transcripts flagged as low-confidence by automated systems\nIdentify and resolve data anomalies and edge cases\nEnsure consistency and accuracy of all data outputs to meet company standards\n
Dashboard & Reporting Development\nBuild, maintain, and update dashboards and scorecards from raw data\nPresent data clearly to support decision-making across teams\n
Process Documentation & Collaboration\nCreate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for data workflows\nCollaborate with engineering and product teams to provide feedback on software improvements\nCommunicate effectively with stakeholders via Slack and other platforms\n
Operational Excellence\nMeet daily delivery quotas consistently\nAdapt quickly to changing priorities and new tools\n

Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseRequired:\nMinimum 3 years as a Data Analyst, Reports Analyst, Business Analyst, or related role involving data reporting/science\nHands-on experience converting PDFs into spreadsheets as part of reporting workflows\nProven experience working with college admissions data, high school transcripts, or GPA calculations\nAdvanced Excel Skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization\nStrong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases\nWFH Set-Up:\nComputer with at least 8GB RAM, an Intel i5 core processor/AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and up.\nInternet speed of at least 40MBPS\nHeadset with an extended mic that has noise cancellation and a webcam\nBack-up computer and internet connection\nQuiet, dedicated workspace at home\n\n\nYour Superpowers:\nExpertise in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts)\nSkilled in data extraction and transformation from complex documents (PDFs to spreadsheets)\nStrong written communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration\nAbility to learn quickly, work independently, and manage time effectively\nDetail-oriented mindset with a passion for data accuracy and quality\nCollaborative attitude with experience working cross-functionally\nYou should apply if… \nYou take pride in delivering error-free, high-quality work consistently\nYou enjoy working with educational data and complex workflows\nYou thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and can adapt to evolving requirements\nYou value clear communication and process-driven work\nYou are self-motivated and comfortable working full-time on Eastern Time business hours\n\nWhat to expect...
