Data AI Engineer
Data AI Engineer responsibility is in two main aspects; First, responsible for organizing, collecting, processing, and storing of data from different sources and transforming raw, unstructured data into formats that can be used for analysis including architectures such as databases, servers, and large-scale processing systems. Second, responsible for the design, planning, management, maintenance, and support, and any other technological duties associated with an organization’s cloud computing environment including support of an application on any Schlumberger supported cloud. **Roles and Responsibilities** + Develop and deploy data science solutions to support geoscientific, reservoir engineering, and production analysis challenges + Design and maintain predictive models, exploratory analysis dashboards, and interactive workflows using SLB tools + Collaborate closely with geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, and reservoir engineers to translate domain problems into robust data science solutions + Deliver training sessions and technical workshops, both internally and for clients, focused on data science tools and upstream workflows + Provide technical support and expertise on SLB platforms and software integrations + Assist with data quality, data preparation, and data governance efforts, ensuring compliance with industry standards + Support business development and pre-sales activities, contributing to solution design and technical proposals **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Petroleum engineering, Geophysics, Geology, or related Geoscience fields + Strong foundation in Statistics and Mathematics + Experience with Python (essential) + Proficiency in English (written and spoken) **Preferred experience** + Experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably supporting data-driven workflows or digital transformation projects + Practical knowledge of key libraries and frameworks, including: + Data handling and analysis: _Pandas, NumPy_ + Machine Learning: _Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch_ + Data visualization: _Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, Dash_ + Experience with time series forecasting for production and performance data + Familiarity with Petrel, Techlog, or similar E&P domain tools + Knowledge of industry data standards, such as OSDU, PPDM, and Energistics + Experience with NLP (Natural Language Processing), Deep Learning, Neural Networks, Transformers, or Generative AI is a plus Company policy is to provide every individual a fair and equal opportunity to seek employment and advancement at the Company without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, national origin, citizenship, genetic information, veteran or military status, disability, creed, ancestry, pregnancy (including pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions), marital status or any factors protected by federal, state, or local laws.
