The community youll be caring for: AdventHealth Division
AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, womens services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.
AdventHealth Tampa is home to the renowned AdventHealth Pepin Heart Institute, a recognized leader in cardiovascular disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and leading-edge research caring for Tampa Bays hearts for over 35 years.
The Kiran C. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases.
The ro le youll contribute:
The RN Data Abstractor reports to the Division Data Abstraction Supervisor and is responsible for the abstraction of clinical data from a patient's medical record and input into an electronic database for summary analysis and public reporting. Attention to detail, accuracy in abstracting clinical information, and proficiency in the required data abstraction tools will be necessary for success in this role. The RN Data Abstractor tracks and validates data accuracy and timeliness in accordance with AdventHealth West Florida Division policies and procedures and performs quality assurance tasks such as record validation as assigned. They communicate medical record status and key project issues to leadership as needed and are familiar with medical terminology and basic medical record design and requirements. This individual utilizes basic computer skills, to include the navigation of several electronic databases such as; Cerner, Outlook and Excel, Lumedx Apollo Advance and LX, Analytics Manager, IQVIA, etc.).

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:
Associate's of Nursing Required .
Registered Nurse (RN) Required .
Recent experience in at least one of the following, (Experience in both preferred).
