Dangerous Goods Transportation Compliance Manager

As the Dangerous Goods Transportation Compliance Manager, you will ensure safe and compliant transportation of hazardous materials by developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training programs, while staying updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices. 

JOB DUTIES:
Administer the Dangerous Goods Transportation Compliance Program: 

Design and implement DG compliance programs in new sites.  Review new and current products to ensure transportation regulatory standards.  Assign proper profiles and ensure the data is accurate in the various ERP system to support regulatory compliance relevant to transportation. Willingness and ability to engage with regulators and stakeholders regarding issues, concerns, or inquiries; Customers, Service Providers, Product Managers Proactively seek out, research, and identify regulatory changes and trends and adjust the current program as needed. Partner with other functional areas such as IT, sourcing, logistics, customer care, data management team Develop and ensure compliance through periodic reviews and audits Identify potential risks associated with the transportation of Dangerous Goods and determine mitigation steps.  Lead to drive continuous improvement culture and participate in continuous improvement initiatives when needed.

YOU MUST HAVE:

10+ years of experience managing Dangerous Goods compliance programs.  Extensive knowledge of transportation regulations, including, but not limited to 49CFR, IATA, and IMDG. Able to interpret and apply regulatory laws and guidelines.

Significant experience in Transportation, Dangerous Goods, and Logistics or relevant functions in Integrated Supply Chain Notable experience with Hazardous Materials regulations; ability to work with various complex regulatory bodies Think independently and handle multiple projects through to completion Excellent oral and written communications, collaboration and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. Independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability and professional demeanor Deep and thorough analytical, problem solving and organizational skills Awareness and understanding of other governing regulatory publications such as the ADR and TDG. Be able to navigate Microsoft office software (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word) Work independently and work within a work group collaborating on continuous improvement.  Be willing to travel if situations arise where travel is necessary.
