The Battlefield Engine Core Audio team is looking for an engineer like you to help us take the sound of Battlefield to the next level. 

As a member of Engine Core Audio, you will work with a highly technical team, developing software across multiple areas, from gameplay hooks to signal processing, content creation pipelines to platform specific optimizations. 

Your work will have a strong impact on the audio team and player experience across multiple projects within the Battlefield franchise. 

Responsibilities: 

Be the audio software team point of contact for Battlefield Studios in North America, making sure their needs are captured and delivered by the teamDevelop and maintain game audio systems using the Frostbite engineDevelop and maintain audio workflows and tooling to support our audio content creatorsDocument the design, functionality, and usage of audio systems / tools, sharing knowledge with users as requiredContribute to the future direction of Battlefield audio technology and how the team delivers itGather feedback from users to identify areas for improvement

Skills & Requirements: 

7+ years of commercial software engineering experience with C++Experience developing, debugging and profiling in a large multi-threaded C++ codebase Commercial experience working with game audio middleware (e.g. WWise, FMOD etc.) / proprietary audio engine, or related audio technology (e.g. plugin development)Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve complex technical challengesAbility to work with users to design, plan and implement maintainable software systems to meet their needsExpertise in optimizing code for performance and efficiencyExperience guiding and mentoring junior developersExperience working with standard development tools (e.g. for source control, reviews, planning documentation, testing)Excellent teamwork and communication skills for working in a cross-functional environment across multiple studios in different time zonesNative or fluent English, both spoken and written

Experience developing C#/WPF applicationsExperience working with game engines such as Unreal, Unity, or proprietary enginesExperience shipping one or more AAA gamesExperience with development on games consoles (e.g. PS5, XBSX|S)Experience using Visual StudioExperience using Perforce / Git
