Title: Cytotechnologist

Cytotechnologist Responsibilities:

Evaluates and diagnosis non-GYN cases for Pathologist reviewEvaluates and diagnosis GYN cases.Performs Rapid On-Site Evaluations for FNA procedures including EBUS and EUS Guided procedures, Robotic assisted Endoscopic procedures, CT Guided and US Guided procedures.Knowledge of multiple Cytology Reporting Systems.Excellent inter- and intra-departmental communications skills.Maintains equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.Ability to assist in the Cytopreparatory lab, as needed.Works independently and in a team.Demonstrate organizational, time management, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.Use computer skills appropriate to position.Needs to understand medical terminology.

 Certification & Licensure:

Required - ASCP Certified Technologist in CytologyRequired- State of Florida License Clinical Laboratory Personnel - Cytotechnologist

 Education:

Required - Bachelor's in related fieldBachelor's requirement can be waived if certified prior to 1985

Experience:

Preferred - 2 years Cytology experience.Hospital experience not required, training available.
