We are seeking a dedicated Cytogenetics Supervisor to oversee a team of eight direct reports within a leading institution. The role involves performing comprehensive cytogenetic analyses, including chromosome analysis, FISH, and microarray analysis, to assess the chromosomal state of samples.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise and manage a team of direct reports.Perform cytogenetic analysis, including chromosome, FISH, and microarray analysis.Conduct assigned tissue culture tasks.Initiate and maintain cell cultures using sterile techniques.Perform specimen processing and operate automated cell scanners.Analyze metaphases using brightfield microscopy, record raw data, prepare final reports, and record current ISCN.Other duties as assigned. Essential Skills NeededProficiency in chromosome analysis and cytogenetic testing.Experience with karyotyping and FISH.Strong skills in tissue and cell culture.Expertise in molecular biology and chromosomal analysis.QualificationsBachelor's Degree of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science from an accredited institution.CG(ASCP) certification.Supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.Familiarity with CLIA and Joint Commission regulations.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a Cytogenetics laboratory.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $62.00/hr.
