The Cycle Counter contributes to the overall efficiency of inventory management and helps prevent stock shortages or overages. **Key Responsibilities:** + Inventory Audits: + Perform scheduled cycle counts of inventory in designated areas. + Verify physical inventory against system records and investigate discrepancies. + Discrepancy Resolution: + Research and resolve inventory variances by working with warehouse staff, purchasing, and other relevant departments. + Document and report findings to supervisors or management. + Data Entry and Reporting: + Update inventory records in the system to reflect accurate stock levels. + Generate cycle count reports and provide insights into inventory accuracy. + Inventory Organization: + Ensure products are properly labeled, stored, and organized for easy access and accurate counting. + Identify and report damaged, expired, or obsolete inventory. + Compliance and Accuracy: + Follow company procedures and policies related to inventory control and cycle counting. + Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail during all inventory tasks. + Collaboration: + Work closely with warehouse staff, purchasing, and production teams to address inventory-related issues. + Assist with inventory adjustments and reconciliation as needed. + Additional Duties: + Support physical inventory audits and year-end inventory counts. + Assist in other warehouse or inventory-related tasks as assigned. **Education and Experience:** + High school diploma or equivalent (required). + Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or supply chain (preferred). + Familiarity with inventory management systems and software (e.g., ERP systems, WMS). + Skills: + Strong attention to detail and accuracy. + Basic math and data analysis skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and inventory software. + Excellent organizational and time management abilities. + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods. + Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. + Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which may include varying temperatures. + Key Competencies: + Analytical thinking and problem-solving. + Communication and teamwork. + Accountability and reliability. + Adaptability in a fast-paced environment. **Work Environment:** + The Cycle Counter typically works in a warehouse or manufacturing setting. + The role may involve exposure to noise, machinery, and other warehouse conditions. + Shift work or overtime may be required, especially during peak inventory periods.
