**DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented Cybersecurity Technical Advisor to join our Electrolyzer Engineering team specializing in Industrial Control Systems within Accelera by Cummins, located in Mississauga, ON.
**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:**
+ **Lead the strategic implementation of cybersecurity** across Accelera’s Electrolyzer control systems, ensuring robust protection from design to deployment.
+ **Drive architectural enhancements** by identifying and proposing cybersecurity improvements that strengthen system resilience.
+ **Foster alignment across engineering, product, and compliance teams** by championing cybersecurity requirements and closing process gaps.
+ **Proactively assess cybersecurity risks** and lead the development of effective mitigation strategies to safeguard critical assets.
+ **Integrate cutting-edge cybersecurity tools and technologies** into product development and engineering workflows to elevate security posture.
+ **Translate complex regulatory and industry cybersecurity standards** into actionable product, supplier, and component-level requirements.
+ **Serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor** to sales and commercial teams, addressing customer concerns and enabling secure product adoption.
+ **Shape the future of secure electrolyzer technology** by embedding cybersecurity excellence into every phase of the product lifecycle
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**To be successful in this role you will need the following:**
+ **Expertise in IACS and Secure Development:** Strong understanding of Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS), their cybersecurity requirements, and the Secure Product Development Life Cycle (SPDLC) to ensure secure design and deployment.
+ **Cybersecurity Standards and Regulatory Knowledge:** Proficient in applying and interpreting relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations such as IEC 62443, EU CRA, NERC-CIP, and others applicable to industrial environments and electrolyzer systems.
+ **Policy and Process Development:** Proven experience in developing, refining, and implementing cybersecurity policies, processes, standards, and procedures tailored to IACS environments.
+ **Risk Assessment and Management:** Skilled in conducting cybersecurity risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating threats, and recommending mitigation strategies specific to industrial control systems.
+ **Familiarity with Security Tools and Technologies:** Knowledgeable in using IACS-specific cybersecurity tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and vulnerability scanners.
+ **Team Collaboration and Communication:** Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, field service, sales, and IT, while effectively communicating cybersecurity requirements and risks.
+ **Project Management and Execution:** Capable of managing cybersecurity projects from planning through execution, including roadmap alignment, milestone tracking, and stakeholder engagement.
**Education, Licenses, Certifications**
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is
required.
Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
**Experience**
+ Prior Technical Specialist/Specialist Engineering equivalent work experience in a relevant disciplinearea is required with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving, quality decisionmaking and providing technical direction and leadership to a project team(s).
+ Knowledge of MS
+ Office tools is preferred.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Skill, Education, and Experience Requirements**
+ 10 years of experience working with Industrial Control Systems will be preferred.
+ 5 years of experience implementing cybersecurity solutions for Industrial Control Systems will be preferred.
+ IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert certification or equivalent.
+ Strong knowledge of industry best practices in Industrial Control System cybersecurity.
+ Hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal and WinCC.
