Cybersecurity Engineering Intern
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Fulfills requirements defined by others;Supports development of one design element at a time within a selected discipline;Learn about the product and clinical applications;Guided understanding of direct interfaces (inputs/outputs) within the relevant processes;Participates in cybersecurity design reviews;Receives clearly defined objectives and instruction from a more experienced lead engineer, cybersecurity engineer, or supervisor;Accurately follow directions;Communicates work activities effectively;Contacts and gathers information from suppliers;Communicates work activities effectively.

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity Engineering or related field;Academic understanding of cybersecurity principles: 0-2 years;Working knowledge and proven skills of PC computer operating system including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint);Awareness of other technical disciplines;Understanding basic tools and technologies;Supports development of one design element at a time within a selected discipline;Excellent Communications & Collaboration skills;Excellent Customer Focus skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity, experience, or coursework on performing vulnerability analysis, vulnerability testing, security risk analyses, and security assessments;Familiarity, experience, or coursework with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and associated tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus, etc.);Familiarity, experience, or coursework with cybersecurity incident response and investigations;Familiarity, experience, or coursework reviewing security architecture and designs.;amiliarity, experience, or coursework with cybersecurity regulations and standards such as NIST Framework, ISO 27001;amiliarity, experience, or coursework with data privacy standards such as HIPAA, GDPR.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $23.20 to $44.20. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
