As a Cybersecurity Engineer I, you will learn the skills and expertise to design, test, and implement our secure operating systems, networks, security monitoring, and tuning. You'll be responsible for the management of our IT security systems and applications, data loss prevention, conducting risk and vulnerability assessments, and developing and implementing security controls. You'll research, evaluate, and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies in alignment with our IT security strategy and introduce them to the enterprise.

As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Responsibilities:

Design, test, and implement secure information systems, network, environments, and capabilitiesManage and engineer cybersecurity capabilities at SNC including cybersecurity network tools, data loss prevention, monitoring and visibility tools, enterprise system agents, etc.Ensure comprehensive documentation of information systems, functionalities, compliance, standards, and processesConduct risk and vulnerability assessments; develop and implement security controlsWork closely with other teams across SNC, collaborating to perform security assessments, provide guidance, and foster a culture of security at SNCEnhance technical future-facing cybersecurity skills such as cloud security, devsecops, AI security, etc.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline and typically 0 - 2 years of relevant experienceA higher-level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationBasic understanding of data security administration principles, methods, and techniquesFamiliarity with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures

Qualifications We Prefer:

ISSM CAP, CISSP, or CISM CertificationISSE CAP, CISSP-ISSEP CertificationISSO Security+, CISA, or CASP+ CertificationMCSE, Linux, and/or CCNP Security CertificationProven track record of maintaining the confidentiality of high-sensitivity projects and data.Ability to perform critical-incident responseKnowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and proceduresAbility to read and interpret security and technical documentation
