Cybersecurity Engineer

Based in our Shakopee, MN location, as a Cybersecurity Engineer you will provide Cybersecurity support for the products in the Liquid Analysis group as part of the Measurement Solutions organization, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of process analytical equipment for liquid analysis, combustion analysis, and gas analysis. This position will also coordinate with Emerson and Measurement Solutions team members for new product development activities, processes, and tools related to Cybersecurity.   Liquid Analysis is responsible for awareness and adoption of secure development methods that support secure product development and release.   In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Collaborate with the Product Security team to enhance cybersecurity across Emerson’s product portfolio. Assist in the development and implementation of secure coding practices as part of an embedded software group. Support efforts to meet regulatory compliance requirements. Participate in development processes and contribute to secure software/firmware development. Communicate findings and recommendations through persuasive writing and effective verbal communication. Engage in empathetic thinking to understand user and stakeholder needs. Learn and apply cybersecurity principles in a real-world product environment. Work in a team-oriented setting and contribute to a collaborative culture. Assist with security and penetration test cases and approaches Maintain familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 62443 (ISA99) and ISO/IEC 27001 Help establish and coordinate training activities for design engineers, test engineers, and others as needed Assist with user-facing product security information generation and review. Assist with Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) for products

For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Related degree Zero (0) years of related experience Legal authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Degree from an ABET accredited engineering degree is preferred Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-motivated and able to work under tight timeline Understanding of basic security concepts such as encryption, secure software development, and regulatory compliance Student-level proficiency in a programming/scripting language such as C/C++, Python, C#, etc. Familiarity with: Microsoft tools for effective communications and information management. Cybersecurity standards (e.g. IEC 62443) Software security design principles, standard methodologies, and the integration of security into preexisting development processes DevOps tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SAST, DAST, container security)

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The starting salary for this role is $76,000-80,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities and experience each candidate brings to a role.
