The Role

Are you passionate about cybersecurity, threat detection, and building secure systems from the ground up? We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and play a key role in protecting our technology infrastructure and data assets.

This is a highly technical role focused on designing, testing, and implementing advanced security controls that prevent and detect cyberattacks. You’ll investigate incidents, identify potential attack paths, reduce risk through smart policy enforcement, and champion cybersecurity best practices across the organization.

What You’ll Do:

Implement Security Tools: Evaluate, create, deploy, and maintain tools across operating systems, networks, applications, and identity/security platforms

Stay Ahead of Threats: Proactively research emerging threats and security trends. Drive enhancements and lead projects to resolution

Threat Modeling: Discover and harden attack surfaces through manual and automated processes

Incident Response: Monitor alerts and logs, investigate suspicious activity within SLAs, and build automated response playbooks

User Support & Automation: Address user security-related requests within SLAs and identify opportunities to streamline tasks

Third-Party Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments of vendors and supply chains. Recommend and implement secure architectures

Stakeholder Communication: Build and deliver reports, dashboards, and insights to leadership and technical teams

Education & Awareness: Lead internal training efforts and improve security awareness company-wide

Documentation: Create and maintain SOPs, system references, and user guides

Audit Support: Partner with auditors and internal teams to close gaps and reduce risk exposure

What You Bring:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

Experience:

3+ years in IT, networking, hosting, and multi-OS environments

3+ years in cybersecurity: threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, DLP, firewall/IDPS, access controls, and more

1+ year of hands-on programming with Python, PowerShell, or similar

Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune) is a plus

Technical Strengths:

Strong understanding of zero trust, networking protocols, and threat landscapes

Able to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities

Able to develop tools and integrations using APIs and modern frameworks

Soft Skills:

Excellent communicator—able to translate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders

Self-starter who stays current with cybersecurity trends, technologies, and compliance standards

Team player with the flexibility to support after-hours response as needed
