Compensation includes a base salary of $119,600.00 - $199,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Cox Automotive is seeking a highly experienced and collaborative Cybersecurity Engineer to lead our End User Collaboration Security initiatives. This role is responsible for securing enterprise collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Slack, Zoom) and ensuring secure communication and data sharing across the organization. You will work closely with IT, security, and business teams to implement policies, tools, and training that protect users and data while enabling productivity.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the design and awareness of secure collaboration frameworks for end-user platforms.Conduct risk assessments and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data in communication channels.Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate security controls into collaboration tools.Drive cybersecurity awareness initiatives to ensure end-user adherence to best practices.Oversee incident response procedures for breaches related to end-user collaboration environments.Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint, and Google Workspace.Understanding cloud-based collaboration solutions such as OneDrive, Google Drive, and AWS.Knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, and security best practices to protect collaboration environments.Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to collaboration tools.Skills in educating users on best practices and driving adoption of collaboration technologies.Minimum Requirements:
Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 18 years’ experience in a related fieldRequired Soft Skills
Clearly articulate the objective of specific cybersecurity policies and procedures to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent customer service skills, writing, and executive presentation skills. Develop a strong and productive working environment with key stakeholders and collaborate closely with other Cox entities’ cybersecurity teams to implement cybersecurity best practices. Consultative nature to work through controversial or complex topics to employees, leaders, and/or senior leadership. Evaluate risks and make recommendations based on impact and likelihood of the risk to the business.Required Technical Skills
Collaboration Platforms – Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Teams, Slack, SharePoint, and Google Workspace. Cloud Technologies – Understanding cloud-based collaboration solutions such as OneDrive, Google Drive, and AWS. Networking & Security – Knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, and security best practices to protect collaboration environments. Troubleshooting & Support – Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to collaboration tools. User Training & Adoption – Skills in educating users on best practices and driving adoption of collaboration technologies.
Preferred Technical Skills
Certifications such as CISSP, Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate, or MS-500. Experience with Power Platform security, Teams governance, and third-party app integrations. Knowledge of user behavior analytics (UBA) and insider threat detectionDrug Testing
