Cyber Security Platform Operations Lead
Join Mizuho as a Cyber Security Platform Operations Lead! We are seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Platform Operations Lead to oversee and drive the operational excellence of our global cybersecurity platforms. This role is ideal for a strategic leader with a strong foundation in complex systems architecture and cross-functional collaboration, who can scale solutions in alignment with organizational growth. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in managing and optimizing cybersecurity platforms, along with the ability to lead initiatives from concept to execution. This role requires a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: + Lead the operational management of core cybersecurity platforms including EDR, Vulnerability Management, IPS, SIEM/SOAR, Network Monitoring Tools, CASB/SASE, and others. + Identify and address gaps or inefficiencies in platform performance, configuration, and integration. + Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and cyber defense teams to ensure platforms are aligned with security architecture and business needs. + Provide oversight and guidance to platform operations staff, ensuring consistent execution of BAU activities and project deliverables. + Serve as a point of escalation and backup for critical platform operations and incident response. + Report regularly to the Director of Security on platform health, operational metrics, and strategic initiatives. + Participate in the on-call rotation to support platform stability and incident resolution. + Understanding of tools and platforms such as: + Splunk, XSOAR, CrowdStrike, ExtraHop/Reveal(x), Netskope, Tenable + JIRA, GitLab, Ansible + Scripting proficiency in Python and/or PowerShell Qualifications: + Proven experience leading cybersecurity operations or platform teams in complex, distributed environments. + Deep understanding of modern security operations, platform lifecycle management, and automation frameworks. + Strong technical background in systems engineering, software development, or network architecture. + Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive operational improvements. + Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. The expected base salary ranges from $111,000 - $180,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
