The development of cyber capabilities relies upon a wide variety of skills and expertise. Basic Qualifications:
B.S. degree in technical fields of study such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Security, a Master’s degree or 2 or more years of relevant applied experience (This is a baseline requirement - We welcome applicants with higher experience levels.)
Prospective team members for this job posting must have skills in:
- Demonstrated skills in automated test development and execution of distributed software systems scaling from unit testing to full system testing
- Development and authoring of test plans, test procedures, and test reports
- Experience coordinating with external test organizations to plan and execute large scale test events and exercises
- C, Python program test execution and authoring of bug reports at an appropriate level of detail for developers
- Debugging (e.g gdb, windbg, OllyDbg, Valgrind)
- Experience with testing on both Unix and Windows operating systems
- Current Top Secret clearance (US Citizenship)
Team members are subject to a government security investigation and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
Developing cyber capabilities requires a broad spectrum of experience. While we do not anticipate that everyone will have skill and expertise in all related technical areas, we do desire that team mates have some experience in one or more of the areas listed below. If you do not have experience in these areas, you will be assessed for your ability to develop these skills:
- Experience with current state-of-the-art test automation and instrumentation software packages
- GitLab issue tracking
- Cyber/IO/CNO capability testing, validation including government required packages
- Networking technology setup
- Embedded systems testing using emulation
- Development of automated result analysis

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $90,200 - $159,045. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
